the person that wrote that it's better to love and to lose than to never love at all . . .was he ever in love? or a helpless romantic? did he end up with anyone?
it hurts to love someone. it's scary. it hurts to even love my brother. my own blood. it hurts to hope and be disappointed. it hurts to want more and have less.
but god made us for relationships, and maybe that's why we can't help but to love someone else. sometimes it's no longer a choice, love seems to have it's own soul and spirit. the same person that can heal your heart can break it.
the answer i know is that only god's love can truly heal. only god's love can sustain and be unchanging. still, it's amazing what happens when you fall in love or begin to love someone else. you feel things in the crevices of your heart that you didn't even know existed. things that didn't matter once feel like life or death.

That's certainly looking at love with a glass-is-half-empty kind of view ...
The poster forgot about the heights to which love can bring someone ... and when there are mountains peaks, inevitably there are valleys ... or is it the other way around?
emotional attachment is very "scary". The individual is usually slightly happy (at least neutral) in a not-involved state, then ONE day, he/she gets all happy and excited over something small relating to another human being, and inevitably, when there's expectations, there's bound to be disappointments...
sigh, luv is a very complicated matter... probably too difficult for this "bear with very little brain"...
