忠孝仁义,礼仪廉耻。

yes, I know, I am really Chinese to the core.

As all other Asian American raised here in the States, it's true that we are caught in the culture gap between the East and the West. Not just us, the folks in China are bombarded by the different capitalism ideas everyday too.

I don't want to go into too much depth here on a semi-public forum. Ultimately, I still held on tight to my Chinese core values, and am a strong believer of Confucius teachings. Even though I am also a Christian by personal choice, and some of my social values align more with the western "personal space" philosophy.

I don't know, I guess I am a product of the East x West, and I am an America Raised Chinese (ARC) or what you call the 1.5 generation...

btw, I found a really useful tool online: http://www.chinese-tools.com/tools/ime.html
it let you type in Pin Yin and helps me when I forget how to write certain Chinese characters.
