Are you in love? - "你戀愛了嗎?"

So I was surfing around my friend's blog site when I came across this thought provoking entry of hers: (some parts pasted below) Note her analysis on "Lovers in Paris" writing (blue), what's even more interesting is one of her reader's comment below(purple). any comments?

====================== "你戀愛了嗎?" -- Are you in love?
"什麼樣才叫戀愛? 一起吃飯, 送她回家. 對方不顧意也想盡辦法幫助她. 怕對她造成傷害. 小心異異的呵護她. 這叫戀愛的話, 那我戀愛了."

When his ex-wife asks if he is seeing someone, Han Ki-joo responds, "What do you call dating? Eating meals together, escorting her home. When the other party isn't willing, you still think extensively of way to help her. Afraid to hurt her. Carefully protect her in peculiar ways. If this is called dating, then I am seeing someone."
...
Shouldn't love and affection get easier as we get older and wiser? ....

If you and someone of the opposite gender have dinner alone, is it a date? Usually, I'd consider it a friendly outing or get together unless there are romantic interests. ...

"If you and someone of the opposite gender have dinner alone, is it a date?" -- Usually I'd agree with you about it's not a date unless romantic interests are mutual. However, let's consider this interesting situation then:

If a guy (C) repeatedly ask a single girl (B) out to dine and do stuff together, while intentionally hiding the fact that he is in a committed bf/gf relationship with girl (A). C also hides the fact that he's doing all these "Friendship" activities from gf A, to the point that he would cancel his dinner date with A so he can go watch a concert with B. And C does all he can to prevent/hide both A & B from meeting/knowing about each other....

would you call this dating then? between whom and whom? In my dictionary, that's called CHEATING!!!
